If you've ever wondered what to do with Saffron Sencha on a warm day, this is your answer. The blend's green tea base brings a clean, grassy freshness, while ginger and lemongrass add just enough warmth to keep things interesting — and the natural lemon flavor in the blend means it's practically made for lemonade. A squeeze of fresh citrus, a little honey, and you've got a lightly caffeinated afternoon drink that's equal parts refreshing and nourishing.

Servings: 2

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tahmina Saffron Sencha tea sachets
  • 1 cups hot water (175°F — not boiling)
  • 0.3 cups fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1 tablespoons honey or simple syrup, to taste
  • 1 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 lemon slices or fresh mint, for garnish (optional)

STEPS

  1. Steep the tea: Place 2 Tahmina Saffron Sencha tea sachets in a heatproof mug or pitcher. Pour 1 cups hot water (175°F — not boiling) over the sachets — make sure your water is around 175°F and not boiling, as green tea can turn bitter if steeped too hot. Steep for exactly 3 minutes, then remove the sachets.
  2. Sweeten: While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 tablespoons honey or simple syrup, to taste until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed — the natural lemon flavor in the blend means you may want less than you think.
  3. Chill: Add 1 cups cold water to the warm concentrate to bring it to room temperature quickly, then pour over 2 cups ice in a pitcher or divide between two tall glasses.
  4. Add the lemon: Squeeze in 0.3 cups fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons) and stir to combine. Taste and adjust — add more lemon for brightness or more honey for sweetness.
  5. Garnish & serve: Top with a lemon slice or sprig of fresh mint if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
