Saffron is the world’s most expensive spice, more expensive than gold by weight. It is the hand-picked stigma of the crocus flower, and it takes more than 75,000 flowers to make 1 lb of saffron.
Tahmina saffron is sourced directly from Afghanistan, hand-harvested by Afghan women and prized for its exceptional quality.

Tahmina's Saffron Radiance is simply a fantastic tea. When I opened the can, I smelled cinnamon, wood, and a warm blend of spices. It brought to mind those old movies with rich red velvet smoking rooms where people relax with cigars after dinner. I followed the brewing directions exactly and drank it hot with no added cream or sugar. The first sip tasted of hibiscus with a nice citrus tang. It isn't too floral or too citrusy, just really well balanced. I expected to taste cinnamon because of the aroma, but I really didn't notice it once it was brewed. It has no bitter taste, and it almost tastes sweet even though there are no sweeteners added. This is a tea I would definitely drink again.
This tea has been a pleasant addition to my tea rotation, and the packaging and flavor profile both stand out in a good way. It comes in a nice metal container with a good seal to keep it fresh, which helps preserve the quality of the tea between uses. The tea bags are triangular, giving plenty of surface area for steeping, which allows for a fuller extraction of flavor compared to flatter bag styles. I like my tea on the mild side, so I did not steep it for the full recommended time, and it still came out with a nice flavor. It predominantly has a hibiscus flavor with mild hints of the saffron coming through, giving it a tart and slightly floral character rather than the saffron being the dominant note. I also like that it is caffeine free, which makes it a nice option to enjoy any time of day without worrying about it affecting sleep or energy levels later on. The brewed tea also has such a pretty deep red color, which makes it as nice to look at as it is to drink. With so many tea bags included, this feels like a good value. Overall, this is a well packaged and pleasant tasting tea with a predominantly hibiscus flavor, and the quality container and caffeine free formula make it a nice addition to any tea collection.
I can definitely taste and smell the Hibiscus and Rose, those are the main scents and tastes of this tea. But there must be almost no Saffron in it at all because you can't tell from the scent or taste. Instead of the storebought teas that are just powedered, this tea looks like potpourri in a tea bag. I like that. You get 12 tea bags to make 36 cups. These are meant to go into your teapot and be simmered/steeped, rather than one cup at a time. You can get 3 cups per bag easily. The flavor was smooth and not bitter, and even though I prefer my tea stronger, it wasn't overpowering. Love the scent too. I think it was better with honey than sugar.
My review is for the Tahmina Saffron Radiance Caffeine Free Tea: Calming Hibiscus and Rose with Saffron, 12 Biodegradable Pyramid Tea Bags, Makes 36 Cups of Tea (1 Pack) Not to be incredibly cliche, but this is "just not my cup of tea." Ha ha/har har. That said, it comes in a nice, higher-end packaging, and it brews for a nice cup of tea. It just wasn't quite my flavor preference. I think it was just the level of saffron that is in this that made me not actually love the taste. It was palatable more as a cold, iced tea than a hot tea for me. I also appreciate that it comes with the biodegradable tea bags. That's a new touch that I haven't seen in any of my other teas that I typically drink.
This is a beautifully balanced caffeine-free tea that's perfect when you're in the mood for something light and soothing. The aroma is lovely, with the rose coming through first while the hibiscus adds a delicate floral sweetness that makes each cup especially enjoyable. The taste is just as pleasant as the fragrance. I like adding a little sugar and a splash of milk, which complements the floral notes nicely, but it's also flavorful enough to enjoy on its own without any additions. The pyramid tea bags are good quality and hold up well while steeping. Since it's caffeine-free, it's an easy choice for an evening cup or any time you're looking for a moment of relaxation without the stimulation of regular tea. Considering the flavor, presentation, and the number of cups you can make from one package, I think it offers good value for money. Overall, this is a delicate, fragrant tea that I'd happily keep on hand for anyone who enjoys floral herbal blends.
This tea is a beautiful blend of hibiscus, rose, and saffron that creates a light, floral flavor with just the right touch of tartness. It's naturally caffeine free, making it perfect for winding down in the evening or enjoying as a refreshing iced tea during the day. The biodegradable pyramid tea bags let the ingredients steep beautifully, producing a fragrant and flavorful cup every time. I also appreciate that each bag can make multiple cups, giving you great value without sacrificing taste. If you enjoy herbal teas with a delicate floral aroma and a smooth, refreshing finish, this one is definitely worth trying. It's become one of my favorite teas to keep on hand.
I drink a lot of tea and appreciate caffeine-free blends that I can have later in the day. This one has a tart hibiscus base softened by rose, with the saffron adding a subtle warm complexity rather than dominating the cup. The pyramid bags give the ingredients enough room to steep, and each bag is generous enough for a small pot or multiple cups. It is enjoyable hot, but the bright floral-fruit flavor also works nicely chilled. Anyone who dislikes hibiscus may find it too tart, though a little sweetener rounds it out well.
Aromatic steam rises from the metal tin as the tea bags float, revealing a heady mix of hibiscus, rose, cinnamon, cardamom, and subtle saffron. Steeping takes only three minutes in near‑boiling water; the pyramid shape allows ingredients to unfold fully without clumping. The aroma is bright and floral, with the rose leading and hibiscus adding a delicate sweetness. Flavor lands lightly on the palate. The hibiscus provides a tart freshness while the rose adds gentle sweetness; saffron comes through faintly, giving the cup a subtle earthiness that balances the spices. A single bag can be reused for up to three cups, though each subsequent steep feels noticeably weaker. Sweeteners such as sugar or honey enhance the floral notes without overpowering the natural blend. This caffeine‑free tea serves well in the evening or when a calming drink is desired. The biodegradable pyramid bags hold their shape during steeping and keep the brew clear, with no gritty sediment. While the first cup tastes bright and balanced, the second and third steeps offer less intensity, indicating that the product shines best when enjoyed fresh.
It tastes good.
This tea has a wonderful floral flavor with just the right balance of hibiscus and rose, and the touch of saffron makes it feel a little extra special. It is naturally caffeine free, so I enjoy it in the evening when I want something warm and relaxing. The pyramid tea bags allow the ingredients plenty of room to steep, and I was pleasantly surprised that each bag can be used more than once while still producing a flavorful cup. The reusable tin is also a nice touch and keeps everything fresh. Overall, this is a high quality tea that feels like a relaxing little treat.
Love it
This tea hits all the notes for me. Usually a tea with the first ingredient of Hibiscus means it will be overpowered. Not the case here. The Goji Berries balances that out real quick. Adding a pleasant unique barely perceptable tart sweetness. Then they added the spice of tumeric, cinnamon, cardamom. Yet these are balanced nicely with Lemongrass and Rose Petals. So without that overly spicey bite. Finely last but not least the Saffron. I thought it would dissapear, but it holds its presence. I did put a tsp of Allulose to barely sweeten a little more. Will reorder.
